Jizan Economic City ... Arkaz to provide admixtures for the construction of marine structures.

Arkaz, a subsidiary of Alturki Holding and a leading supplier of concrete admixtures and building products, has been awarded a contract to supply its innovative hydrophobic and pore-blocking (HPI) concrete admixture to be used for the marine structures at Jizan Economic City (JEC).

Under the deal, the Saudi-based company will supply its innovative concrete admixture Cementaid Caltite to Saudi Readymix and Eastern Trading & Contracting Company (ETE) for the construction of  the landmark development.

“With this project, Arkaz will become the first to introduce this world-renowned and time-proven HPI concrete admixture to the Saudi market,” said Dr Frank Noehmer, managing director of Arkaz. “Cementaid Caltite is distinguished by using unique technology that makes this waterproofing admixture system superior in performance, safer and far more durable than others previously used in the region.”

“Cementaid has an enviable and proven 55-year international track record of accomplishments in ensuring sustainability of marine and civil structures in harsh conditions and salt-water environments. This achievement is expected to create enormous value and improve the long-term durability of infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, by ensuring the maintenance-free durability of assets for their intended design life.”

“We expect that this recent accomplishment of introducing this time-proven and world-leading technology to set a precedent in the region and to be a step forward for Arkaz to promote its products and services in the Saudi as well as in external markets,” Dr Noehmer added.

Set up in 2008, Arkaz is a fully owned subsidiary of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons (Alturki Holding). It primarily focuses on providing innovative and cost-effective construction chemicals and concrete admixtures of the highest quality that cater to the requirements of the industry.

The company produces concrete admixtures, liquid waterproofing, and speciality concrete chemicals, as well as trades in waterproofing membranes and Caltite, many of which are manufactured in the region.
