Panasonic, a leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances, has recently launched two new models of wall-mount and window-mount ventilation fans designed for longer life and increased power efficiency.

The release of the new FV-20WU4 and FV-15WU4 ventilating fans in the UAE are part of Panasonic's long-term commitment to provide its global customers optimum value for their money, says the company.
“Consumers always consider quality and cost-effectiveness in their purchasing decisions, looking for products that offer the greatest value for their money, whether it is in the form of advanced technology, longer lifespan or energy efficiency. Panasonic is pleased to offer new ventilating fans that incorporate all these important factors,” says Yu Kai, product manager of Panasonic Marketing Middle East in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
The new Panasonic models are fitted with an advanced blade design that provides maximum air volume while reducing noise. They also feature a newly developed high-performance condenser motor designed to enhance durability and double the products' average lifespan. The motor uses the Japan Matsushita technology, which received recognition at Japan Electrical Science and Engineering in 2005, he says.
“The upgrades have increased the average lifespan of the wall-mount type ventilation fan from 30,000 to 60,000 hours, while the lifespan of the new window-mount standard ventilation has increased to 40,000 hours, or 150 per cent longer than the previous model,” he points out. “Power consumption has also been significantly reduced by 50 per cent for the window-mount type and 13 per cent for the wall-mount type. The window-mount type has also been improved with a stronger shutter structure that can sustain strong wind.
Meanwhile, Panasonic has also launched in the Middle East a new range of air-conditioners equipped with sophisticated dust monitoring and cleaning features through an E-ion air purification system with patrol sensor.
The new CS18GKF, CS-C24GKF and CS-C28GKF air-conditioners provide top performance and offer value-added health features that tap into the market’s increasing preference for health-enhancing air-conditioning devices, says Abby Thomas, product manager – air-conditioners, Panasonic Marketing Middle East. “Their E-ion air purification system with patrol sensor monitors detects and collects dirt in the air, even if the air-conditioner is not in operation, which enables 24-hour air quality monitoring and immediate action against harmful dust particles and bacteria. Both models also incorporate the Super Tropical rotary compressor, which guarantees efficiency under high load conditions, in addition to the groundbreaking Blue Fin Condenser technology, which helps extend the machine’s lifespan.
Explaining how the pioneering device works, Thomas says: “Whenever the system’s sensor detects dirt concentration above the allowable level, the E-ion air purification system discharges active e-ions that neutralise airborne bacteria and mould. The E-ions also catch negatively-charged dust particles and bring them back to the system's positively-charged mega filter in a boomerang-like mechanism.
Aside from eliminating harmful dust particles in the air by releasing around three trillion active E-ions, the air purifying system also neutralises various air pollutants such as cigar smoke, cooking smoke, sweat or body odour, as well as garbage and pet odour.
“The Blue Fin Condenser technology, developed by Panasonic, has a life span three times longer than other condensers, is highly energy efficient with very low electricity consumption, and also uses a special anti-rust coating that withstands damage from exposure to corrosive factors such as salty air, wind and dust. The Super Tropical rotary compressor ensures better performance in hot climatic conditions by using the specially developed hermetic motor, which results in reduced heating,” he adds.
Panasonic is the best known brand name of the Japan-based Matsushita Electric Industrial (MEI) Company, a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of electronic products for a wide range of consumer, business, and industrial needs Panasonic Gulf is MEI’s first subsidiary company in the Middle East, followed by Panasonic Marketing Middle East, which is the regional marketing headquarters of MEI for operations in the Middle East and African countries.
