SAUDI-based Manarat Al Jazirah Electro Mechanical (MJEM) has successfully maintained its position as one of the best players in the market, through a focus on quality, technology and customer satisfaction.

For the Future Ceramics factory, MJEM supplied and installed air-conditioning (AC) units, exhaust fans, water purifiers and control units.  As many as 70 AC units with a total capacity of 248 tons, and 243 exhaust fans with a total capacity of 918,000 CFM (cu ft a minute) were installed under a contract worth SR2 million ($534,044), says managing director Mostafa Shaqer.
MJEM’s scope of work includes design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) and electromechanical works. Intrinsic to its business is an emphasis on safety, quality, price, delivery, reliability, experience and training and the company continues to build on its reputation and gain the confidence of its customers.
The company has gained wide experience in commercial buildings, industrial plants, and maintenance services. The commercial sector is its core business, accounting for 60 per cent of its revenue, and covering shopping malls, residential compounds, hypermarkets, hospitals and hotels.
“Over the years, we have also gained wide experience in industrial projects, such as substations, power and gas plants and factories,” says Shaqer. “The after-sales service and the warranty period we provide on completion of our projects called the establishment of our maintenance services department, which also helps to reinforce the confidence of our customer.”
MJEM has also partnered with renowned international manufacturers such as Trane, Carrier, York, Siemens and Zamil, using their products on projects to guarantee customer satisfaction.
“These alliances have benefited MJEM in proper selection and application of products that are reliable, flexible and cost effective; getting the needed technical advice and assistance in system design; and selection of compatible integrated equipment,” he says.
In addition, a workforce of experience professional engineers and highly-skilled technicians enables the company to meet most of the Saudi market’s requirements in the fields of commercial buildings, industrial plants, residential projects and maintenance services.
Another reason for MJEM’s success has been continuous staff training in order to keep them updated with the information and knowledge needed to achieve targets. Accordingly, several training courses are provided in project management, quality control and technical supports.
“Besides, our strong relationship with leading air-conditioning and electromechanical suppliers in Saudi Arabia provides us with adequate technical support required to provide the most suitable, durable and competitive solutions, which helps develop long-term relationships with our clients,” says Shaqer.
The primary objective of MJEM, he says, is to provide top-class products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction by the effective implementation of its quality system, he says, adding that the company is committed to continual improvement by internal review and assessment of its quality system.
MJEM has approvals from Saudi Aramco (10034128), Saudi Electric (60208), Royal Commission, and the King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals.
Among its major contracts, MJEM has worked on four power stations for the GCC power grid in Saudi Arabia,  Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain (worth $2.93 million); a Lulu hypermarket in Al Khobar ($1.33 million);  and a Novotel hotel in the kingdom ($1.34 million).
