

EASTERN Trading and Contracting Establishment is undertaking civil works on the Future Ceramics factory. The works, over of 325,000 sq m, involves all equipment foundations, such as installation of machineries, silos, kiln and other equipment as well as the construction of all these facilities, besides electromechanical works of all utilities and infrastructure.
Established in 1971, ETE’s construction arm is the oldest division in ETE Group, and considered one of the leading construction companies in the Eastern Province with a highly-qualified and experienced management. ETE was founded in 1971, as a 100-per-cent Saudi-owned establishment involved in general trading and contracting firm, by Ali Bu-Khamseen. During these ensuing years, the company has grown into one of the leading companies in the Eastern Province. At present, the company has 11 divisions involved in different trades.
The company has a strong organisation, which handles all individual projects. There are dedicated project managers, construction managers and site managers in different disciplines who run every project as per requirements. These project engineers, supervisors, and quality engineers are continuously trained in their field to keep pace with the modern construction environment. At present the company has a total workforce of 2,410 distributed into five different ongoing project locations.
ETE has a number of ongoing projects, which include King Abdullah University of Science and Technology for Saudi Aramco, Maaden phosphate plant and Al Jalamid power plant for Maaden Mining Company, and the new Arar substation for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
Its recent projects include the Uthmaniyah water injection plant station, Haradh gas and oil separation plant, Khurais gas plant, Aramco facilities at Dammam port, Khurais central processing facilities, and Rabigh petro refinery project – all for Saudi Aramco.
The company specialises in all engineering spheres. In the civil/building works, it deals in construction with structural steel, precast members or cast in-situ structures; mixed-use buildings and industrial buildings like control buildings and substations. It also specialises in the construction of modern buildings, which involve wall cladding, curtain-walls and precast panels, besides providing complete finishing works furnishing and installation of equipment, such as process equipment, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, furniture, audiovisual, kitchen and laundry equipment. It also undertakes site development, landscaping, hardscaping, road works, asphalting and earth works.
On the mechanical side, ETE is known for various types of installations such as plumbing, drainage system, gas piping, compressed air, vacuum systems, fire protection and detection, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) engineering and execution. It has carried out process piping, industrial installations and all kinds of RTR piping installations, besides fabrication and erection of pipe racks, pipe supports and other mechanical installations. It also installs fire-fighting system with the support of NFPA-certified fire-fighting system engineers.
For electrical works, the company specialises in construction, installation, testing and commissioning of high-voltage 230/132-kV substations, rehabilitation of existing 230/132-kV substations, distribution control systems (DCS), instrumentation systems, medium-voltage substations, electrical automation and control, and extra-high-voltage, high-voltage, medium-voltage loose equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems.
In addition, it is involved in low-current design and installation, telecommunications, VoIP, data and LAN networks, PA/GA systems, fire alarm and detection and CCTV systems.
