The MB-LS220 will make its regional debut at The Big 5.

MB Crusher of Italy has developed a range of bucket crushers and screeners designed specifically for mining sites that are looking at maximising their operating profitability by using all available material in the quarrying with the help of agile equipment.

These include the BF 135.8 crusher bucket, which is suitable for excavators from 43 tonnes, the BF 150.10, a crusher bucket built for excavators with operating weight of over 70 tonnes, and the MB-S23 screening bucket, which has already won considerable success in quarries around the world.

“Crushing has become a key aspect of a mining operation and the need to make the most of all available material has prompted astute operators to use also the ‘waste material’ which was once simply piled up in the quarry,” says a spokesman for MB Crusher.

“Another requirement is to obtain the desired sizes in the shortest time possible to maximising the operating profitability per cu m worked as well.

“Quarries are often huge, hence the need to have agile equipment, able to move without problems and reach areas where only excavators can go,” he adds.

To respond to these needs, while ensuring efficient high-quality crushing and screening managed by sturdy and reliable equipment, MB Crusher has developed these bucket crushers and screeners designed specifically for mining sites.

“The MB-S23 is the largest screening bucket in the world and provides screening of unparalleled performance, with a load capacity of 4.3 cu m and a bucket well depth of 1.49 mm,” the spokesman says.

Many quarries around of the globe have already chosen MB products. Citing examples, he says: “In the Bilecik marble quarry in northern Turkey on the Black Sea, the BF135.8 crusher buckets are used not only to assist in mining activities, but also to shatter the material required for the rehabilitation of the quarry roads. The considerable advantage, guaranteed by the versatility of the equipment, is that the material is crushed where it is needed, without having to employ a unit for transport.

“In this way, the slopes of the quarry are always pristine, and the productivity of the mine itself increases. The BF135.8 has record-breaking performance with a maximum production of 88 cu m per hour, a loading capacity of 1.6 cu m, and high reliability – all of this is made possible by cutting-edge design and the use of the highest structural materials.”

Meanwhile, another MB crusher bucket, the BF120.4, is in use in Dubai, UAE. “The model is slightly smaller but equally outstanding, has been mounted on a 45-tonne crawler excavator, and is being used to crush basalt and granite – materials notoriously tough to manage. Despite the hardness, the crusher bucket is able to guarantee a relevant productivity with peak values up to 50 cu m per hour, also thanks to the load capacity of 1.3 cu m,” he says.

MB Crusher recently exhibited its products at Minexpo, a premier exhibition of mining equipment and services held in Las Vegas, US, and at Marmomacc, a key exhibition of stone design and technology in Verona, Italy.

It will also be at this month’s Big 5 show in Dubai, showcasing its latest products as well as its award-winning crushing and screening buckets. Among the innovations that will be unveiled for the first time in the region are its new hydraulic drum cutter MB-R800 and the MB-LS220 – the first screening bucket specifically for owners of loaders and backhoe loaders from 12 to 35 tonnes, which has been designed to fill a gap in the market in terms of the ability to select waste material.

MB Crusher is a leading attachment specialist, providing materials processing equipment to the recycling, demolition, construction, landscaping and waste management industries.
