German bathroom and kitchen fittings maker Hansgrohe celebrated a major triumph at the prestigious iF Design Award 2025, securing two out of only three “Gold” labels awarded in the sanitary category. 

The prestigious iF Design Awad recognises groundbreaking design achievements with particular relevance to society and everyday life. An international panel of experts evaluated nearly 11,000 submissions from 66 nations, recognising Hansgrohe for its innovative design expertise.

The winning products were the hansgrohe Avalegra tap and hansgrohe Raindance Alive shower.

hansgrohe Avalegra: The jury praised the tap for its elegant reinterpretation of handwashing, its elegantly curved design and innovative face spray function which “creates a delightfully cleansing water fountain” and eliminates splashing.  The jury noted its potential to inspire imitation.

• hansgrohe Raindance Alive: Described as an “innovative interpretation of the shower surface”, the Raindance Alive features a one-piece front panel with a sophisticated nozzle structure. The jury concluded it offered a “joyful experience”.

Hansgrohe remarks that these two Gold awards underscore its “design excellence and innovative power” within the industry. The company, with its brands AXOR and Hansgrohe, also noted its leading position in the iF Design Award “Gold Ranking” since 2015.

The awards recognise Hansgrohe’s consistent focus on combining water-saving technologies, intelligent functions, and lasting quality in its premium products, aiming to enhance daily water experiences.
