Trendy and classy designs ... Craft ceramic models (above and below) will be displayed at The Big 5.

COMMEMORATING 20 years as a leading product innovator in the ceramic tile industry, RAK Ceramics will be showcasing its latest designs and collections at The Big 5 Show 2011.

RAK Ceramics’ special showcase is designed to reinforce the company’s reputation as a leader in quality and design in the global ceramic tiles and sanitary ware market.

The Ras Al Khaimah-headquartered company will be exhibiting its latest 25 by 70 cm and 25 by 50 cm tile collections as part of the centrepiece attractions of its premium portfolio of ceramic and Gres Porcellanato tile models. Ceramic models that will be displayed include the Daze, Craft, Bolt and Charm collections, which offer trendy and classy designs using digital printing technology, catering to cosmopolitan customers, as well as the Linia, Lamina, Stone Art Collection and Interlocking Tiles.

Gres Porcellanato models lined up for exhibition include the Aqaba (30 by 60 cm), which is influenced by Jordanian Stone; Aleppo Stone (45 by 45 cm), which is developed using high-definition digital printing to give it a rustic stone/lappato finish; and the Bevel Rock, which offers a bevelled finish that gives a unique texture on the tile, allowing the surface to have an embossed designer look.

The company will also launch Sandust (30 by 60 cm), which is designed to reflect the splendour of the Arabian desert and has been developed using the Chroma printing technology, and the Techno Rak polished floor tiles (60 by 60 cm).
Abdulla Mahmood, head of marketing and communication, RAK Ceramics, comments: “For the past 20 years, RAK Ceramics has remained strongly committed to developing and introducing new products and designs that set new benchmarks in terms of quality and visual impact. We have, therefore, prepared a very special presentation for The Big 5, featuring a wide array of our latest collections that have been specially developed to commemorate RAK Ceramics’ 20th anniversary this year. Being one of the biggest construction events in the region, The Big 5 will surely serve as an excellent venue to showcase and launch our latest products and designs.”

RAK Ceramics’ 25 by 70 cm range provides a unique size that is used exclusively to decorate interior walls. The slick 25 by 70 cm tile size makes the walls look chic and classy, which is line with the urban trendy lifestyle. The 25 by 70 cm tile collection comes in seven distinctive tile designs that vary from the essence of textile finish to wallpaper textures to suit the interiors of any living room, bathroom and kitchen.

The 20 by 50 cm collection is another size that integrates a novel design solution to meet the demand of today’s lifestyle. “The collection’s trendy tile size strikes a perfect balance between vivid colours and surface textures, delivering distinct effects and creating a fresh look with its numerous ingenious combinations,” says Mahmood. “Ideally suited for urban-chic style bathrooms and kitchens, the 20 by 50 cm collection offers a range of options at a competitive price.”

A new design that adds a twist to RAK Ceramics’ tile collection, the Bolt features star-shaped bolt patterns giving an artistic feel that enhances the vibrancy of any area.

“With its bold and defining style statement, the Bolt is a welcome addition to any living space. It is available in the 33 by 50 cm format,” he says.

Also available in the 33 by 50 cm format is Charm, a sensational collection that boasts an eye-catching design influenced by an oval-shaped grid that gives a contemporary feel to the interiors. The classy look of this strikingly designed tile has a smoothing effect on the walls and is the solution to growing urban demand for exquisite tile designs.

The Craft collection ... manufactured using the latest digital print technology.

The Daze features tri-dimensional patterns that are combined with splendid textures to create the perfect design for elegant and sophisticated interiors. In addition to its dazzling effect on walls, this highly durable product provides increased resistance to wear, making it an ideal substitute to wallpapers and standard paint materials.

The Craft, manufactured using the latest digital print technology in the ceramics industry, is inspired by ancient art and craft work and has its own unique appeal. “Modern yet classic, the Craft is a natural choice for those who prefer their residential interiors to stand out with artful architectural designs” Mahmood says.
