An agreement was signed between Stow Group of Companies and Solidere for the development of the land area surrounding the Beirut Marina in Lebanon.

The development has a total built-up area of 20,000 sq m in the new urban waterfront in Beirut. Steven Holl is the architect for the project and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2006.
The design will create an environment that will bring together the public and private spaces on the new waterfront.

It will include luxurious residences, an exclusive yacht club, and a variety of restaurants and high-quality shops.
The final design of the project will be unveiled before the end of the year.

'Solidere's main objective is to create a new and distinctive maritime gateway for the city with state-of-the-art marina at its centre and an active, public town quay,' a spokesman said.
