Front 2004, the Middle East’s specialised event dedicated to the complete doors, windows, roofs and walls industry, will be held next month (March 14 to 17) at the Expo Centre Sharjah in the UAE.

Front 2004 has received an overwhelming response from a number of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers, including 3M Gulf, Leaders Aluminium, Karam Group, National Paints, Al Danoub, Sedar, Conmix, Al Rahmani General Trading, Secco Iran, and Gunther Doors, which have confirmed their participation.
The show’s participation includes companies from Taiwan, China, Singapore, Italy, Germany, Spain, Iran, India, Jordan, Syria and the UAE.
“For the first time in the GCC region,” says Fasahat Ali Khan, deputy director general of Expo Centre Sharjah, “Front will showcase the fenestration and allied products industry one roof. The show has been conceived by us keeping in mind the substantial increase in demand for hi-tech doors and windows triggered by the booming construction industry in the GCC.”
The show will highlight the latest designs and technologies in categories such as business fittings; doors and doors accessories; drives and drive technology; grilles; louvre blinds, interior rollers blinds, curtains; roller blind boxes; roller blinds and roller blinds; accessories; roof and walls; sun blinds; window shutters; windows and windows accessories; and working and business safety.
Speaking on the continually innovating fenestration industry, Khan says: “The international fenestration industry has been innovating at a fast rate, with new products and technologies continually hitting the market. These have been designed to enhance automation or to better control or optimise aspects such as the U-factor of buildings (how well a window/door keeps heat inside a building), solar heat gain (a window/door’s ability to block warming caused by sunlight), visible light transmittance (how much light gets through a product), air leakage, or heat loss and gain by infiltration through cracks in the window assembly.
“At the same time, the current trend in the GCC region is towards high quality, automated buildings, with builders and contractors on the perpetual lookout to incorporate the latest advances and high-tech products in their buildings.
“Front will keep them in touch with these advances, and we are confident that it will be a very sought-after show for professionals from the construction industry,” concludes Khan.
The exhibition will be open strictly for trade, from 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm.
A dynamic and interactive website (www.expo-centre.ae/front) has been launched on the show, where exhibitors and visitors can enquire, pre-register online and source updated information on Front 2004.
