Saudi-based paint manufacturer Sigma Paints has signed a distribution agreement with the Bahrain-based construction and trading organisation AA Nass Group.
According to a spokesman for the company, the deal will cover the promotion and distribution of protective and marine coatings throughout Bahrain. The company also plans to set up a permanent Sigma representative at the Nass Group Bahrain headquarters who will offer complete technical and commercial support in the region.
The deal was signed in the presence of Khalid Al-Shaer, general manager of Nass commercial division, Hubert de Sarrazin, general manager for Sigma Paints Middle East, Samir Nass, managing director of Nass Group, and David Thomas, area manager of Sigma Paints.
Sigma’s Bahrain presence previously included a distribution deal with a subsidiary of the Kanoo group for its decorative coatings range. Now the firm has introduced a new strategy to enhance its Middle East operation.
The Nass group has more than 30 companies engaged in contracting, manufacturing, marine services, and related trading activities.
