Three Olympic-sized swimming pools are taking shape at Riffa Views using the expertise of Bahrain-based Al Zeera International Pools, which has been specialising in the construction of pools for the past 10 years.

The first of these 25 m by 13 m pools is nearing completion at the Riffa Views International School. The school also features a second, 8 m by 4 m children’s pool, which is also being built by Al Zeera International Pools, according to Jaffar Hassan, site manager of the company
The company was awarded the deal for the two swimming pools late last year and is expected to complete them this month (August).
Construction work is also well in progress on the second 25 m by 13 m pool for a private client at Riffa Views. This apart, the company has just broken ground for the third similar-sized swimming pool, which is located at the Golf and Country Club within the prestigious development.
Al Zeera currently has a team of 25 workers working on the Riffa Views site to ensure the timely completion of its projects, according to Majeeda Ahmed Salem, managing director of the company.
Commenting on the project, Hassan says: “The swimming pool equipment is from AstralPool of the US, which has a branch office in Dubai. The pools are equipped with fully-automatic heating and cooling systems to ensure that the water is at the right temperature to make swimming comfortable round the year. AstralPool is a multinational group of companies that has 100 facilities in more than 30 countries providing quality products and services. The company has been offering quality swimming pool equipment, services and solving customers’ installations and design challenges in the residential and commercial pool industry for more than 35 years.”
Hassan continues: “The swimming pools are clad with Agrob Butchel tiles from the US, which are of high quality and have an excellent finish. The tiles selected have a pleasing light blue colour.”
Al Zeera International Pools’ activities include the construction and maintenance of swimming pools. It has a large office area in Saar and three warehouses, each being around 200 sq m in area.
Salem attributes the success of the company to the teamwork that is put in by its 40-strong staff of dedicated workers.
