CNBM International Engineering Company (CNBM Engineering) of China, a specialist engineering procurement and construction/engineering procurement (EPC/EP) contractor, is gearing up to launch its concrete batching and asphalt mixing plants in Bahrain soon.

CNBM International is a part of the China National Building Material Group, considered to be the largest and most comprehensive group specialising in building materials in China.
The concrete batching plants come in the following versions: HZS30, HZS60, HZS75, HZS90, HZS120, HZS150, HZS180, with capacities ranging from 30 cu m per hour to 180 cu m per hour. The asphalt mixing plant include the LB1000, which is available in capacities ranging from 60 to 80 tonnes per hour (tph), LB1500 (90 to 120 tph), LB2000 (120 to 160 tph), LB3000 (180 to 240 tph), and the LB4000 (280 to 320 tph).
This equipment will be backed by efficient service both before and after it is supplied to clients. The company’s pre-sales services includes consultation – to help the buyer select a suitable scheme and model – while its after-sales services include supervision of erection and commissioning, technical training, spare parts supply, production management, upgrading of software, failure recovery, heavy repair, used plant modification, and supervision of plant removal and re-erection.
CNBM Engineering, which has already been involved with the construction of cement plants in the Middle East, is targeting further growth in the region.

In addition, it has been contracted to carry out many EPC projects in various countries.
The company has successfully supplied a number of cement plants in the region. Among the earlier contracts, signed in 2005, was the supply of a 6,000-tpd clinker plant in Najran, Saudi Arabia, which included providing a wide range of services such as engineering design, civil works, procurement, erection and commissioning. In the following year, the company signed a contract for the 6,000 tpd Northern Region Cement Plant project, also in Saudi Arabia, which has been successfully commissioned. The successful of these Saudi projects enabled the CNBM Engineering to go for markets in other Arab countries.
Subsequently, the company has picked up contracts to set up a 4,800 tpd cement production line for Berber Cement and 5,300 tpd line for Atbara Cement, both of Sudan; Al Rajhi Al Mafraq Cement (5,000 tpd) and Northern Jordan Cement Plant (grinding station), both of Jordan; Derba Midroc Cement (5,000 tpd) of Ethiopia; Ali Abdullah Alesayi Cement (3000 tpd) of Yemen; Fezan Wadi Alshati Mahrug of Libya; Absheron Cement plant (1,500 tpd) in Azerbaijan; and Al Douh Cement Plant of Iraq.
The company has also established a cement machinery and spare parts supply centre and a technical service centre in Riyadh, and enhanced its presence in the international cement plant market.
