A JOINT venture between two leading companies will aim to execute world-class projects in the Gulf by importing manpower from Europe.
Hadeed Emirates Contracting (HEC), a UAE-based turnkey contracting company and Litana, a European construction company based in Lithuania, have entered into a partnership to execute projects with a strong commitment to the highest standards and timely delivery.
Under the terms of the venture, Litana will deploy European supervisors, engineers, welders, erectors, pipe fabricators, pipe fitters and other skilled workers, so as to execute HEC’s projects in shorter time schedules, and with a smaller workforce.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two companies on the sidelines of last month’s Big 5 exhibition in Dubai, where HEC and Litana showcased their completed and future projects.
The MoU was signed by Nasser El Ali, COO of Hadeed Emirates Contracting and Vaidas Rudis, regional director, Mena (Middle East and North Africa), Litana Group of Companies.
“With offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah and Jordan, Hadeed Emirates Contracting, a leading ISO-certified turnkey contracting company, has successfully executed hundreds of turnkey industrial and commercial projects in four emirates, and has earned an excellent reputation in the field,” said El Ali.
He continues: “HEC is currently working on projects that have a total value exceeding Dh400 million ($108.8 million), and we believe that our joint venture with Litana will add value to our expansion plans in the UAE, GCC and the Middle East.”
“Litana is one of the largest construction companies in Lithuania, with 800 specialised employees. Litana has been active in industrial, civil and marine construction in Europe since 1992,” said Rudis.
“We have completed over 300 projects in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Belorussia, Estonia and Finland. Now, through this joint venture with Hadeed Emirates Contracting, we are set to extend our expertise to newer markets in the Middle East region,” he concludes.
