MENA Energy DMCC, a major regional energy product related company in the region, broke ground on its new BituMena facility at the Bahrain Logistics Zone (BLZ) located within Bahrain’s Hidd Industrial Area.

Bahrain’s General Organisation of Sea Ports (GOP) said the work has begun and is progressing steadily at the BLZ, the kingdom’s only dedicated customs-free, value-added logistics park. Construction is expected to be completed within the year, with operations commencing soon after.

The new facility will offer a complete logistics solution that facilitates a more economical and efficient delivery of its products in an easier process for both the suppliers and the end-users.

Its technologically-advanced system allows for the bags to be transported on a much larger scale, with easy handling and at competitive rates, to any location worldwide.

Hassan Ali Al Majed, the director general of GOP, said: “The commencement of construction on the BituMena facility signifies an important milestone for the BLZ and highlights its benefits to companies seeking a logistics hub from which they can target the Saudi Arabian and Northern Gulf markets.”

“Under the administrative jurisdiction of the GOP, the BLZ will support and monitor the construction process, as with all our clients, as part of the BLZ’s aim of establishing a benchmark for high-quality logistical operations,” he noted.
