
A LEADING Malaysian construction and property development company said it has been awarded a RO123.2-million ($320 million) contract to build a 44.75-km four-lane expressway in Oman.
WCT in an 80-20 joint venture with Oman Roads Engineering Company will hope to complete the Batinah Expressway, Package Two, in 36 months.
The 265-km-long Al Batinah Expressway project is divided into six packages. Earlier this year, the first package of the project worth RO138.9 million ($361 million) was awarded to Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company.
