AL GHANNAM Building Materials, which started operations just three years ago, has seen considerable growth, both in size and diversity, to become one of Saudi Arabia’s leading companies in its line of specialisation.

The company’s core business involves trading in wood, steel and aluminium products in a bid to meet the increasing demand for building materials in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC.
The company is now one of the largest building material producers and suppliers in the area and also a leading exporter to the GCC – a status it has achieved thanks to the support of its 12 distribution agencies, which cover the entire region. In Saudi Arabia, Al Ghannam continues to open new branches.
“Having achieved success in its domestic market, Al Ghannam did not rest on its laurels but advanced towards greater success in the GCC and the Arab world,” says Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Ghannam, director general of Al Ghannam.
 The company now has factories, companies and trading outlets in the Gulf and other Arab countries such as Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt and Yemen.

Al Ghannam’s extensive range of products includes steel products such as rebar, steel beams and channels, steel sheets and coils, pipes, mesh products, steel hollow sections; a wide range of insulation products; wood products including construction and joinery softwood, joinery hardwood, plywood, blackboard, medium density fibreboard, chipboard and hardboard; and other products including welding electrodes, galvanised iron and epoxy-coated binding wire, polycarbonate sheets, barbed wire, metal props and steel scaffolding.
One of the success stories of the company is its carpentry materials departments, which has now expanded with a network of branches in Hasa, Riyadh, Thokbah and Khodariya. These outlets meet carpentry materials requirements, ranging from equipment, machines and tools, and other related materials.
