Eye on expansion

High quality products ... epoxy coating and grouting systems from CMCI.

CONSTRUCTION Material Chemical Industries (CMCI) is mulling expansion plans in a bid to meet increasing demand and is optimistic that the Saudi market will remain buoyant over the coming years.

The Dammam-headquartered company has been serving the building and the construction industry with high-quality construction chemicals since 1984 and is recognised throughout Saudi Arabia for its products.
The company’s range include new-generation concrete admixtures, high-performance waterproofing systems, superior epoxy mortars, adhesives and coatings, advanced grouting systems for equipment and machinery, specialised protective coatings, new technology in joint sealants, complete concrete repair systems and a wide range of curing and sealing products and more.
Part of Khalifa Abdulrahman Al Gosaibi Holding Group, CMCI has its factory at the First Industrial City in Dammam.
“CMCI’s production facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment while its research and development (R&D) and quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) departments have sophisticated testing and measuring equipment,” says a spokesman for the company.
The firm follows a strict and well-designed quality system in its operations and insists on using high-quality products produced under closely-controlled quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) procedures, the spokesman says.
CMCI obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2000 and since then has maintained a lead in the market by adhering to its commitment to providing the construction and building industry with high-quality products. Some of its major clients are Saudi Aramco, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), Saudi Electric Company and Maaden.
Apart from its focus on quality, CMCI has also initiated moves to get closer to its customers. Its participation in the Big 5 show last year in Dubai indicates the company’s keenness to enhance its relationships with clients and increase its market penetration.
The company employs well above 200 personnel including highly-qualified engineers and chemists.
Besides serving the Saudi market through its branches in various parts of the kingdom including in Riyadh,
Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu, Khamis Mushayt, Al Hasa and Jubail, it also supplies projects in the region through its export office. It has an office in Bahrain, to handle its exports.
