Al Marsa of Saudi Arabia is introducing a standard door on the market which it says is economical because it is mass-produced.

''The door has a width of 80 cm to 100 cm and a height of 220 cm, constructed from solid wood in a three-piece frame,'' says sales manager Assad Al-Sadi. ''It can be adjusted to fit walls of different thickness and sizes. The door's leaf is flush semi-solid chipboard core while the door itself comes in two finishes: oak veneer clear lacquer or MDF pigmented white or off-white.''

''Mass production will allow fast delivery in large quantities, as up to 50 to 100 doors can be produced daily. This will help contractors to buy and fix the entire quantities of doors needed for their projects in a short time at a lower cost. Customised specifications for door-opening sizes and sub-frames can also be done,'' Al-Sadi adds.

Al Marsa is the marketing arm of Gulf for Construction and Plastic Industries, which also manufactures kitchen cabinets and built-in wardrobes fabricated to the highest international standard and constructed from choice woods such as oak, teak, mahogany, and maple.

In addition to private villas and palaces, Al Marsa products have been used for many prestigious projects in Saudi Arabia such as Al Faisaliah Centrer in Riyadh (handrails and louvres), the Al Dira Shopping Mall for the Riyadh Tameer Company and hotels and residential complexes in Madinah.

Al Marsa offers a minimum warranty of one year on all its products.
