Commercial flooring specialist Polyflor of the UK has radically extended its rubber flooring with the launch of the Elementa range, comprising 16 rubber tiles in two decorative styles, Fortress Stone and Slate.
"The introduction of Polyflor Elementa signals a new phase in our commitment to the increasingly important rubber flooring market,'' says Polyflor market and product development manager Adrian Birmingham. "The range will complement our highly-successful Polysafe Stud Tile products.''
He continues: ''Polyflor Elementa Fortress Stone features a multitone-on-tone non-directional pattern in eight attractive colourways to create the look of natural stone. Micro-squared edges give a virtually seamless appearance and the hammered surface profile is easy to maintain, serving to reduce noise generation from both rolling and foot traffic.
''Polyflor Elementa Slate, also available in eight colourways, is profiled to give the natural appearance of slate. It combines durability with comfort underfoot and also benefits from precision cut edges.
''In common with the existing studded tile range, Polyflor Elementa is resistant to scratching and cigarette burns. Suitable for use in hospitals, airports, sports stadia, schools and offices, the tiles have a heavy-duty wear classification and the 3.5mm gauge assists in reducing sub-floor imperfections.''
The new range conforms to EN 1817: 1998, has an EN 685 use area classification of 23/34/43 indicating its suitability for heavy commercial installations and has a Class l fire rating to ASTM E648, he adds.
