Corian solid surfaces are putting on a show for Emirates airline throughout the world, following completion of a landmark project undertaken by Cloisall of the UAE.
The Dubai-based firm, which is the distributor for the solid surfacing material manufactured by DuPont of France, undertook an order to supply Corian for counters at the airline's branch offices throughout the world back in 1996.
Since then, Cloisall has fitted solid surface customer service desks in more than 50 branches across 40 countries.
Commenting on the decision to use Corian, Adil Al Mula, Emirates' manager procurements and logistics said: 'Customer service branches are the first point of contact between the company and its customers. A proper setting is of primary importance to us so we outfit them with only top quality material.'
Corian's manager for the Middle East and Africa Tony Azzam commented: 'We recognise the time and effort Cloisall has invested in this scheme over recent years, and we have no doubt that their unreserved commitment to perfection has contributed to the success of this project.'
'In a commercial setting, customer service desks are prone to the rigors of daily abrasion, which expedites their deterioration. Corian, has been providing Emirates with cutting-edge yet durable work surfaces since 1996.'
'Emirates wanted a material that can handle heavy use and at the same time keep an aesthetic feel. In this respect, Corian offers the most cost-efficient solution,' said Cliff Caley, general manager of El Naboodah Laing's Joinery branch, which designed and produced the customer service desks for Emirates.
