SAUDI Ceramic Company (SCC) has registered record sales for the past year as it continues to expand into foreign markets.
Products from the company are now available in more than 52 countries across the globe and have been supplied to hundreds of distributors and project owners worldwide.
SCC’s chief executive officer Abdulkarim Alnafie says sales for last year reached a total of SR1.22 billion ($325.58 million), a 13 per cent increase over 2010 figures. “Export revenues in 2011 accounted for 13 per cent of the company’s total revenues,” he points out.
The company realised a net profit of SR232 million ($61.86 million) last year compared to SR220.5 million ($58.8 million) in 2010, he says, adding that with both the local and export construction markets showing good growth this year, SCC is confident that sales for 2012 will continue to grow and exceed actual sales for 2011.
The company intends to press on with its expansion programme as planned. At the same time, it will also continue introducing new products and expand its sales in Saudi Arabia as well as foreign markets.
SCC has remained immune to the impact of the global financial downturn and continues to expand its production capacities to meet its planned targets, says Alnafie.
“We at SCC will continue to leverage our resources and experience to further improve ourselves and serve the interests of our customers and shareholders,” he adds.
Established in Riyadh in 1977, SSC produces high-quality ceramic and porcelain tiles, sanitary ware and electric water heaters. It also offers products that are tailor-made to clients’ requirements while launching new ones to meet market trends and demands. Additionally, it provides technical and marketing support to customers, while assuring them of the availability of spare parts and efficient after-sales services.
