JEDDAH-BASED Mimar for Construction Tools and Trading, the sole agent for Fein power tools in Saudi Arabia, is currently promoting the latest tools offered by its German principal in the kingdom.
Fein, which claims the distinction of having invented the world’s first power tool, has recently extended its stainless steel range for surface machining by adding a powerful belt sander, a compact pipe sander and a module for industrial automatic grinding. The new power tools make the job of precisely sanding pipes and hard-to-reach places much easier.
In addition, Fein has launched two new core drilling units – Fein KBM 80 U and the KBM 80 auto – for efficient and precise core drilling with a diameter of up to 80 mm.
“The KBM 80 U comes with manual drive and the KBM 80 auto has the first fully automatic, digitally-controlled drill feed,” says a spokesman for Mimar. “These units guarantee constant drilling times and save time and money on big drilling jobs.”
“The new drilling units cover all applications such as core and twist drilling, thread cutting, countersinking and reaming and are used in metal and steel construction as well as the construction of bridges, machines, ships and containers,” he adds.
Mimar also offers Fein’s powerful electric and pneumatic pipe milling machines, which can be used under extreme operating conditions. These can be utilised to cut steel, cast-iron or ductile cast-iron pipes with diameters of between 250 and 3,000 mm reliably and with precision.
“The machines are suited to both trimming pipes to length before they are laid or cutting the pipes whilst in situ,” says the spokesman, adding that the pipe milling machines can be used in pipelines, public supply networks, power plants and heavy-duty vessel construction.
Other power tools offered by Fein include the Grit professional belt grinding rotary module, which is described as being unique and offering significant advantages. The basic machines can be extended with radius, round or surface grinding modules as necessary, giving users high flexibility.
The Grit system can be used throughout the entire range of steel and stainless steel machining applications. It is suitable for every application from the initial rough grind to surface finishing – coarse cut, circular grinding, grinding out, deburring, chamfering and planning. Professional grinding belts designed especially for the Grit belt grinders round off the range.
Fein specialises in professional and highly reliable power tools and special application solutions for the metal working, interior outfitting and automotive sectors. The company was founded by Wilhelm Emil Fein in 1867.
As the inventor of the electric hand-held drill, Fein has been developing innovative and efficient solutions for practical applications for 140 years.
