Saudi Arabia

High reputation

PLUS Arabia, whose core business is the construction and resale of residential villas in Saudi Arabia, last year successfully built and sold 60 luxury villas in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

At the heart of its operations is its specialist construction division Majed Al Saadan (MAS) Contracting Establishment, of which Plus Arabia acquired full ownership last year. Majed Al Saadan has forged a superior and proven local market reputation for engineering excellence since it was formed in 2000, and is renowned for the quality of its projects, which utilise some of the most exclusive products in the construction and interior decoration world.

Plus Arabia is now looking to leverage MAS’ inherent expertise and experience to pursue new business opportunities in Saudi Arabia, where large real estate investments are currently driving strong demand for specialised construction services, according to Mahmoud El Jardali, general manager of the 100 per cent Saudi-owned company.

He says Plus Arabia is ideally positioned to serve this buoyant sector and meet the exacting expectations of customers who demand nothing less than products and services of the highest quality.

Plus Arabia is committed to further strategic investment in assets to maintain its market position and enhance its support to the construction projects of its clients in Saudi Arabia. To achieve these goals, it aims to expand its skilled and non-skilled workforce while upgrading its range of heavy-duty equipment to improve its service capabilities.

MAS is a qualified and certified vendor to some of the kingdom’s most prestigious organisations including Saudi Aramco, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. The company also supplies manpower to international companies, including Chevron Phillips, SNC Lavalin Europe, Radicon Gulf Consult, Saudi Arabian Construction, Arabian CBI, Saudi Binladin Group, Al Suwaidi, Tasnee, Saudi Formaldehyde Chemical Company (SFCC), Saipem, Uhde Germany, Foster Wheeler, Fluor, Parsons, Bechtel, Technimont, Snamprogetti, TUV, Wilkinson, Raymond, and Nesma & Partners.

Having initially started with an order book worth SR10 million ($2.66 million) between 2000 and 2002, the company has seen the projects in hand surge to SR140 million ($37.33 million) over the 2010 to 2012 period. A multicultural, multi-disciplined workforce of 130 – which includes highly-qualified engineers, technicians and other specialist and non-specialist staff – underpins MAS’ business, and its ability to work to tight deadlines under budget without compromising on quality is a prime reason behind the company’s rise to prominence in recent years.

Plus Arabia Group is headquartered in Al Khobar in the Eastern Province, from where it manages all facets of its operations, which include construction, contracting, real estate and interior design, project marketing, business development and property management, ensuring a comprehensive suite of complementary capabilities and services meeting the highest quality standards.
