FRANCE-based Alphaplatre will showcase its innovative solutions adapted for the plaster industry at The Big 5 show this month.
The company designs and installs a comprehensive range
of equipment needed in the plaster industry. Initially specialised in the gypsum blocks units, Alphaplatre has developed new manufacturing technologies, over more than 15 years, for plasters, mortars, plaster tiles and plaster board.
For the GCC markets, it aims to introduce a new product – gypsum blocks – at the show, says a spokesman for the company.
“This bespoke technology helps build partition walls at half the cost of concrete-block partition walls. The technology can be adapted to the Gulf market, which is used to handling plaster,” he says, adding that it has been well received in countries across Europe as well as Russia, Brazil and India, but has not yet been popularised in the Gulf.
“Our objective is to find an industrial partner who will be interested in developing this technology in the UAE and wider Gulf region,” he says.
The technology offers other advantages such as fire resistance, acoustic absorption and thermal regulation, he adds.
The spokesman says that Alphaplatre’s experience and know-how enables it to serve clients “right from the sourcing of gypsum deposits to the development of the end-products, after erection and start-up of customised installations”.
“Alphaplatre’s technicians are trendsetters in their field as they conceive innovative ideas for the plaster manufacturing process and then put them to practical use,” he states, adding that the company has successfully undertaken projects in many countries including Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, China, and Belgium.
Alphaplatre is part of the RBL-REI group and is specialised in the plaster industry and product handling field since 1985. It employs 250 people and has a turnover of €60 million ($80 million).
Alphaplatre will be exhibiting at Stand 1F30 at The Big 5 show.
