Esmery Caron’s facilities in France ... 40 years of experience.

FRENCH pioneer Esmery Caron will be looking at extending its four decades of expertise in textile architecture to architects and general businesses in the Gulf, when it exhibits its extensive range of stretched canvases at The Big 5 show.

“For over 40 years, the company has been making a noteworthy contribution to the expansion and development of this field and has a distinguished record of high profile projects,” says Olivier Dufour, CEO of Esmery Caron.

“Esmery Caron now endeavours to leverage its expertise to assist architects and general businesses in the GCC countries and it intends to make a first step in this direction by taking part in The Big 5 show,” he adds.

Dufour says stretched canvases have emerged as key elements of modern architecture owing to the development of technical textiles. The highly flexible architectural membrane structures present great potential for constant innovations and are an excellent medium for revitalising the building sector, he says, adding that the GCC countries have a strong stretched canvas culture.

“They highly value our commitment to the design and manufacture of long-lasting products that are of excellent quality.”

He says through the company’s participation in The Big 5 show, “we would like to share our know-how and expertise with the professionals in the region, thereby giving them the opportunity to voice their ambitions and show their creativity for solar protection and planning in fields as varied as port facilities, recreation, tourism, commerce and so forth”.

Esmery Caron has been awarded major contracts in urban planning, sports and industry as well as recreational and reception facilities. Its many prestigious achievements range from the Toulouse and Toulon stadiums and the Zenith in Paris, France, a pool in Casablanca, Morocco, stands and grandstands in Equatorial Guinea and pond covers in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The company has also developed Architex, a patented range of semi-standardised textile architecture tailored to specific uses. It includes Texispan, designed to cover walkways, car-parks, entrance areas, covered playgrounds or courtyards; Ten Linea for sporting arenas; Ombrage for outdoor recreational facilities; and Texiwood Ecolodge, which offers solutions for the hotel industry, camping sites and holiday villages, seafront, sports and recreational areas.

“Esmery Caron is committed to limiting its impact on the environment. As such, all its technologies are environment-friendly. It has reduced pollution on its worksites through strategies such as decreasing the noise level, restricted use of heavy machinery or total waste recovery. Moreover it has joined the Texyloop programme and therefore recycles all its fabrics,” says the spokesman.

Dufour says Esmery Caron’s success in this sector is centred on a single facility combining the skills and expertise of a design office, a textile factory, assembly staff and a qualified and experienced maintenance and repair service available throughout France and abroad. Thanks to this integrated solution, the company has established a solid reputation for quality and reliability.

Esmery Caron will be present at Stand 1E35 in the French pavilion.
