Arab Equipment Establishment (AEE), a Dammam-based supplier of construction equipment and industrial supplies, will launch Horpre concrete block and kerb stones making machines from Spain at Saudi Build 2000, where it will be exhibiting for the first time.

AEE, established in 1973, represents manufacturers of repute from around the world for equipment such as concrete production and conveying machinery, dewatering pumps, road construction equipment, material handling equipment, hydraulic tools, air compressors, sand blasting equipment, etc.

Apart from its headquarters in Dammam, the company has branches in Jubail, Riyadh and Jeddah.

AEE, which has a staff strength of 60, registered a turnover of $10 million last year.

The acquiring of Horpre concrete block machine agency has been a significant step for the company, says assistant general manager Irfan Brohi.

Brohi says construction equipment business has been slow this year compared to last year.

Speaking on the company's major projects, he says: "We are almost at the completing stage of installation and testing of six big seawater pumps for Royal Commission Jubail from Ebara Corporation, Japan. The total value of this project was about $9.4 million.

"We are always on the lookout for new and reputable agencies to represent for construction equipment and industrial supplies," says Brohi.

AEE will be exhibiting at Stand No. 8008.
