Anchor Allied Factory Limited in Sharjah, UAE, which is claimed to be the largest manufacturer of self-adhesive tapes in the Middle East, is planning to introduce new products for specialised applications.

The company, which launched the production of general purpose silicone sealants and acrylic sealants just 18 months back, has taken a big share of the silicone market in the Gulf, says a spokesman for Anchor Allied. The company manufactures masking and protecting tapes for aluminium and glass and tapes for the air-conditioning, construction, paints and many other industries. These tapes are produced using state-of-the-art technology at its modern factory.

After the success of its general-purpose silicone, the company, which is supplying to most of the aluminium and glass industries in the Gulf, is poised to introduce more and more innovative products specifically for this sector, says the spokesman.

The company's strategy is to maintain highest quality at the most reasonable prices.

Specialised products which are already available from the company include neutral silicone sealants, structural glazing silicone sealants and insulating glass silicone and polysulphide sealants.

Neutral silicone sealants are low module, moisture curing, odourless weatherseal products with excellent adhesion to most common building materials. As this silicone has good movement accommodation, it is good for expansion joints and all cladding jobs. It is best suited also for mirror and tile fixing, continues the spokesman.

Structural glazing silicon is available in one and two parts. It has high strength with primerless adhesion and is odourless, non-corrosive and compatible with all Asmaco Brand products. A warranty on the product is available on a project-to-project basis and compatibility testing can be done at no extra charge, says the spokesman.

Insulating glass sealant is available in one part and two parts. It has excellent weatherability, is unaffected by UV light, cures fast and has superior high and low temperature resistance.

The company also offers two parts polysulphide sealants. The product is formulated to facilitate optimal performance on both robotic and manual application equipment.

The company also manufactures a polyurethane foam called Asmaco Multi-foam. It is a one-component moisture curing polyurethane foam for insulating, mounting, filling and fixing. It is CFC and HCFC-free, has excellent adhesion to concrete, brickwork, some wood and several synthetic materials.

The product has been accepted very well by the market. All the above products are high quality products and are warrantied by Anchor Allied Factory, says the spokesman.

The company is introducing many more products in the market for specialised applications.
