Jeddah job

A perspective of the Jeddah Hilton.

Saudi interior decor specialist Alarabi has recently been involved in the finishing works on the Jeddah Hilton, which is one of the largest in the Kingdom.

The deluxe property which has more than 420 luxurious rooms and suites, is gearing to open its doors by June this year.

"The Jeddah Hilton has been designed for the business and leisure traveller and is one of the most beautiful hotels in the region," explains Renato Zimmerman, the general manager of the Jeddah-based specialist. "The architecture inside is magnificent, with an impressive arcade lobby with palms, fountains, waterfalls and scenery lighting."

Commenting on Alarabi's work, Zimmerman says: "The decoration works executed by Alarabi can be seen throughout the hotel - from the majestic reception to the banquet area as well as in the rooms and in all the public areas.

He continues: "Decorative gypsum, gilding and special painting applications can be seen all over the complex, while outstanding artistic marble and glass mosaics can be admired in the domes, walls and the swimming pool."

"It has been a great challenge to all of us, as we had to work on a very tight schedule and we are delighted to have successfully completed all our work to the full satisfaction of the consultant and the main contractor.

"The location of this hotel is incomparable and I am sure that Saudi citizens and international clientele are looking forward to the exceptional services that this unique hotel complex will provide."

Since its creation two decades ago, Alarabi Decoration has completed more than 300 major projects spread over three continents. The company says it is recognised for its high standard of professional finishing work, particularly decorative gypsum, special painting applications and artistic trompe l'oeil, as well as decorative designs in glass mosaic and marble - and all this at competitive prices.

The firm is considered a leader in the field of decoration and finishing for hotels, royal palaces, shopping malls, mosques and private villas, having successfully completed a large number of the most prestigious projects in the Middle East as well as major projects in Asia, Africa and Europe.

In Saudi Arabia, besides the Hilton Alarabi recently completed another hotel project in Jeddah, the West Inn Hotel on the Jeddah Corniche.

Three major projects it completed early this year in Europe include a royal residence in Marbella, Spain, the renovation of a prestigious villas on Lake Como in Italy and a private hotel in Paris, France.
