

The UK-based Creative Resins Distribution have always attracted an audience at the Big 5, thanks to the action at its stand, which feature innovative machinery creating works of art right in front of the visitors' eyes.
In a bid to make further inroads into the markets of the Middle East, the UK-based company will be returning for the fourth time to showcase its new resins and machinery for the application of decorative glass for interiors of villas, mosques, hotels and other projects.
“We will be promoting a range of decorative resins for stained glass along with the sophisticated machinery required for its application to both new and existing customers in the Middle East at our stand at the Big 5 show,” says Louise Bollom, director of the company. “In addition, we will be introducing a new spray resin system which is designed for spandrel glass, curtain-walling, glass partitions, splash backs and large areas of coloured glass. It can also create aesthetic effects such as pearlescent and sparkle,” she adds.
“Our servo cad resin dispensing machine will be running demonstrations throughout the day and exciting new products will be launched at the show. We have an excellent customer base around the Gulf Region and always enjoy attending the Big 5 show each year,” she adds.
Commenting on the response it has received at previous Big 5 shows, she says: “We have been exhibiting for the last four consecutive years at the Big 5 and have always had a good response with around four machines sold every year. The show also helps us to keep in touch with our existing customers in the Gulf.”
Creative Resins Distribution’s products have found application in a number of projects in the Middle East. Many hotels, offices and other commercial establishments are using them for glass designs in atriums, lobbies and in the rooms. Among the most recent deal clinched by the company’s Sharjah-based distributor is to supply decorative glass for the new Dubai airport terminal.
The company is set to launch new water-based resin outlines shortly, which are odour-free, 100 per cent non-toxic, easier to transport especially for its international customers and do not need any cleaning fluids apart from water to rinse out the pumps and plastic ware,
Creative Resins decorative resin products are sold to over 50 countries worldwide.
Established in 2000 in Sittingbourne in Kent, Creative Resin specialises in the production and distribution of decorative products for the glass, sign furniture and giftware markets. Its range of decorative resins for glass simulates stick-on lead and traditional stained glass. The company records a turnover of around $27 million per year with a total staff strength of around 350 employees.
As one of the market leaders in the decorative resin business, Creative Resins prides itself on the service it offers to customers and has managed to install nearly 200 resin dispensing systems worldwide over the last few years.
It has a global network of distributors to promote and sell its products, including a number of joint venture companies in the Middle East such as Sharjah Aluminium in the UAE, Nabina Trading in Qatar, Talisman Trading in Oman, Bahrain American Glass and Mirrors Company in Bahrain, Saber Trading, Al Andulas and Dar Company in Saudi Arabia and the Suad General Trading in Iran.
Commenting on the company's performance this year, Bollom says: 'We have had a profitable year in business this year with a rapid growth in our sales turnover. We have also moved into larger premises with a new purpose-built office and factory in Sittingbourne in order to accommodate more machinery and space for new contracts. We are planning to expand the market for our range of spray resins not only in the Gulf but also in Australasia where there is increasing demands for our product.

The company is also constantly upgrading its product portfolio and has recently introduced the Microseal range of UPVC sealants which reduces staining and discoloration to uPVC and Crystal Vision, a glass cleaner and sealant in one which reduces staining from water and rain/salt water as well as dirt and grime, sand and dust.
