The UAE-based Leminar Air Conditioning Company intends to provide consultants, contractors, specifiers and clients a “snap shot” of its entire range of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) equipment, when it makes its seventh appearance at the Big 5 show this year.

The leading distributor of HVAC equipment will be introducing a selection of new products at this year’s edition, which include chilled water fan coil units (FCUs) from Italy-based BPS Clima, industrial fans from the US-based Twin City and pre-insulated aluminum duct work from Italy-based Alp.
Others products that will share the spotlight at the show will include pipe supports, vibration isolators and HVAC accessories from Weicco of India and closed cell rubber insulation from Mobius in Italy.
Besides these products, Leminar – a member of the Al Shirawi Group of Companies – is also a major supplier for ducted split unit from Rheem and Janitrol, adhesives and coatings from Napco and thermometer and pressure gauges from Hunter, among others.
Leminar has seen a massive surge in business over the past year, given the buoyancy of the UAE market.
“Business has been good. We have grown by 75 per cent compared to last year,” says Ajith Sam Abraham, senior marketing engineer of the company. “Our presence is strong in the domestic market. The fact that we are on almost every job in one way or another in the UAE as well as in the GCC highlights our relationship as business partners with a number of clients. Our success is due to not only in the regular supply of material but also to the strong technical assistance and the after-sales service we offer to our clients.”
Expansion is a watchword at the company, which is looking at extending its network throughout the Middle East. As part of these plans, Leminar has recently increased its warehouse capacity in the UAE and opened a new showroom in Sharjah. It is now planning to set up showrooms in Al Ain by next April and in Oman by January 2008.
The company has also boosted its product portfolio by taking on a number of new agencies, which will be promoted at the Big 5 show.
Commenting about the exhibition, Abraham says: “We have been exhibiting at the Big 5 show for the past six years as we are impressed with the business opportunities presented by this exhibition and the number of people who attend both in terms of exhibitors and visitors. The show has become bigger in terms of turn out and clientele response.”
“The Big 5 provides a shop window for our clients, contractors and consultants to see our entire range and the opportunity to share our time and product portfolio with others in the construction industry market. We have always received a positive feedback about our products,” he adds.
Leminar has an impressive project portfolio in the UAE which comprises HVAC supplies to the four sectors of the Jumeirah Beach Residence, the Mall of the Emirates, Al Fattan Towers, Gold and Diamond Park, Shangri-La Hotel, Marriott Executive Tower, Madinat Jumeiriah, Al Marooj Complex, Marina Terrace, Emaar Towers, Habtoor Grand Residence, Business Bay, Old Town in Jebel Ali, various towers in the Jumeriah Lakes and Dubai Marina area, the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) Gate and many phases of the Knowledge Village, among others.
Leminar Air Conditioning was established in 1989 and has a current annual turnover of around Dh120 million ($32.18 million). It has its head office and retail outlets in Dubai, with branches in Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and Sharjah.
The company is staffed by around 45 employees, who are the key to the company success, he says.
“The key to our growth and strength is the team work exhibited by our staff and support of the management. Leminar has the capacity to meet the growing needs and demands of the HVAC industry of the Middle East,” Abraham concludes.
Leminar Air Conditioning Company will exhibit at Hall 1, stand B21.
